Hi! My name is Sylvia.
I am a qualified teacher, I have a bachelor's degree in English Philology and the TEFL diploma - I teach English as a second language. I also work as a Polish interpreter.
I am a native Polish speaker, proficient English speaker and an elementary German speaker.
I was born in Poland. Currently I live in the UK - for 13 years now.
I teach online, both, Polish and English at elementary, intermediate and advanced level.

I have been teaching people of all ages - kids, teenagers and adults, from various countries and cultures; mostly 1to1 online lessons.

I assist with improvement in core areas such as grammar, vocabulary, as well as speaking and writing.

As a teacher I am patient, well organized, resourceful and supportive. My teaching is based on creating a classroom atmosphere where students are comfortable taking risks, making mistakes without being judged.
I am also an adaptable tutor - I will adjust to preferred methods, pace and materials to meet diverse learning needs of individual students. I can see potential in everyone and I help to discover it.

Besides teaching, I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, carpentry and fishing. I have a beautiful garden, where I grow flowers and my own food. I also own a bit of forestry, where I spend most of my time. Most of all, I am a huge dog lover - I have two pups.
