Advert description
I'm an ADHD and workplace strategy coach with a chemistry background, specialising in the executive functioning systems that let students actually use the knowledge they already have. For university students, the real barrier is often not ability but a working system for starting, sustaining and switching between tasks under pressure — that's what I help build.
I bring over 800 hours of 1-to-1 coaching, including Access to Work-funded work with ADHD, autistic and AuDHD adults, plus direct experience helping people prepare for job interviews, organise complex projects, and complete university essays under deadline. I've also delivered group training (a 30-person ADHD awareness day, college wellbeing talks), so I adapt comfortably to different settings and levels of prior understanding.
How I teach: I find a genuine "launch point" — something already understood — and build new material outward from there, using questions and analogies to connect unfamiliar ideas to familiar ones. I then have the learner practise, answer questions, or teach it back to me, which exposes shaky understanding early and builds real confidence. Sessions are client-led: a curriculum forms the scaffolding where one exists, but the session responds to what's needed that day, with accountability against goals set in previous weeks.
Example: a client could start tasks but not switch between them. Colour-coded time-boxing alone didn't work. Shifting to time-bound (not completion-bound) work using the Pomodoro method, plus background audio for consistent stimulation, let them move between tasks for the first time — a good example of testing a method and adjusting to what actually works for that person.
When confidence dips, I pivot to a quick win before returning to the harder problem with a fresh method. For academic blocks, I find an alternative explanation or rebuild from firmly understood ground; for motivational blocks, I ask probing questions to find the real issue underneath.
I tutor online, combining practical coaching tools with hands-on understanding of academic struggles.
