Social science tutor, with skills in public health teaching and offering academic advisor services at dissertation level

Advert description
I have a wealth of experience in supporting students in their learning, from dyslexia support at primary and high school level, to university level teaching at MBCHB social science teaching and MSc Public health topics, with roles in supervising dissertations, academic advice and Lead responsibilities in supporting students to prepare their research and design of project work. My specialism is in qualitative research, with quantitative understanding. Critical thinking and reflection, alongside reflexivity being core topics in my specialist skill.

My lessons are based around student need, with a co-teaching approach. Supporting students to develop a critical thinking and reflective practitioner style, I will encourage students to build their knowledge and writing style through emphatically working at a students own pace and need. I use a blended approach, with a practical component, that offers examples and ideas to support and encourage student development. My approach balances structure, with a flexible approach to adapt to the needs of diverse learners. This style can be adapted across age groups, from primary, through to adult learners. My additional training in ‘training the trainer’ approaches for person centred care in public health, are also relevant here.
