Advert description
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics, Sciences, Microsoft Excel, Food Safety, Nutrition Science tutor & Essential Skills Assessor with extensive experience supporting learners of all ages and abilities across schools, colleges, adult education and workplace training.
As a PGCE-qualified teacher with a First Class Honours degree in Food Science and Technology, I have taught Mathematics, Numeracy, Science and Digital Skills in mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Additional Learning Needs (ALN) settings and post-16 education. My current role as an Essential Skills Assessor involves preparing learners for qualifications in Numeracy, Communication and Digital Literacy while helping them develop practical skills they can use in everyday life and employment.
I believe every learner can succeed with the right support. My lessons are carefully planned to build confidence, simplify difficult concepts and encourage independent thinking. Whether I am helping a primary pupil strengthen number skills, preparing a GCSE student for examinations, supporting adult learners returning to education or teaching professionals advanced Microsoft Excel, I adapt my teaching to suit individual learning styles and goals.
Alongside classroom teaching, I have delivered Excel training to organisations including the NHS and the Royal Mint, helping professionals improve their productivity through data analysis, formulas, charts, PivotTables and automation techniques.
Parents and learners appreciate my patient, encouraging approach and my ability to explain complex topics in a simple, engaging way. I aim not only to improve grades but also to build lasting confidence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
I would welcome the opportunity to support more learners and help them achieve their academic, professional and personal goals.
