GCSE Chemistry Tutor with history of tutoring

I’m a dedicated and high-achieving GCSE Chemistry tutor who understands exactly what it takes to reach the top grades, having achieved Grade 9s across all my subjects. I currently tutor students in person and have successfully helped students improve from a Grade 6 to a Grade 9 through a focused, personalised approach.

My teaching style is highly interactive and tailored to each student. I encourage students to think out loud as they work, allowing me to identify and correct even subtle misunderstandings in their reasoning. This ensures we don’t just cover content, but truly build strong, accurate thinking patterns.

Lessons are structured around first mastering the core concepts, then applying them through exam-style questions. I place a strong emphasis on bridging the gap between knowledge and application — the key difference between average and top grades. Alongside this, I work to build confidence so students feel comfortable tackling any question they face in exams.
