Tutoring for GCSE and A-Level (Further) Maths, Physics and German + GCSE French

Do you need a tutor for Maths, Physics, French or German?

My name is Daniel, I am an enthusiastic learner of Maths, Physics and modern foreign languages, and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others through intuitive explanations and a positive learning attitude.

I am able to tutor Maths, Further Maths, Physics and German at GCSE and A-Level as well as French at GCSE level. I have shown the exam boards used for my own GCSEs and A-Levels below, and these will obviously be the exam boards I am most familiar with and for which I can give the best advice, however I can look into teaching other exam boards if need be.

I have been tutoring GCSE Maths since September, with my tutee making excellent progress and on track to achieve an estimated grade 7. I would be happy to give contact details of my tutee's mother for more information.

My approach to learning and teaching languages is to focus on immersion, and to look beyond the specification to see how the language is used in real life. This of course does not take priority over learning the content required for the exam, but personally I have found it to be a good way to create a genuine interest for the language and associated cultures, and this gives the learner the motivation to carry on with topics such as grammar, which in and of themselves don't tend to inspire much enthusiasm.

As for Maths and Physics, I like to use visual explanations where appropriate, but also more generally demonstrate why formulae work and where theorems are derived from, so as to make the subject make intuitive sense. Much like with language learning, this sometimes involves extending slightly beyond the curriculum, and is beneficial for similar reasons.
