PhD Student looking to pass on passion and knowledge about the subjects I love and adore

I am Sophia, a first year Agriculture PhD student at Newcastle University, specifically looking at detection of a pest in potato crops, here in the UK. I previously completed my BSc in Applied Plant Science with Placement Year, where I achieved a 1st Class Hons.
I had an incredible time at university developing my knowledge and skills with likeminded people. I also spent some time in industry, working for an Agri-tech company, working in R&D to develop arable crops. Before University I took A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Sport and learnt the value of hard work and determination.

I have spent time in industry and university passing on my knowledge I have gained over the years as well as valuable practical skills. I not only want to help students with their studies but also pass on some of my advice and tips for those looking to improve their overall productivity, organisation and help them build achievable goals for their future.
