Maths tutor available, principal of school with highest results in our city

Advert description
I have over 20 years of teaching experience across Maths and Music, including roles as Head of Maths, Head of Music and Lead Practitioner for Teaching and Learning. I am currently a secondary school Principal, leading an academy achieving the highest results in the city and county. Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I am a practising AQA and Edexcel examiner, bringing extensive subject knowledge and a detailed understanding of curriculum, assessment and examination requirements. My experience enables me to identify gaps in students’ understanding, tailor tuition to individual needs and develop the knowledge, confidence and exam techniques required to achieve outstanding results.

Michael has tutored my daughter for her maths GCSE for about 9 months now, which she is currently sitting. He really has been very good, explaining topics thoroughly, providing many resources for study help, listening to feedback and tailoring lessons to suit, providing and working through past papers as the exam has approached. My daughter is very happy with his help in a subject that she finds difficult. I would strongly recommend him.

Mike Fairless was an amazing tutor throughout my GCSE’s. He explained the difficult maths topics in a way that made sense with the lessons always feeling calm and encouraging. His lessons were well structured and we worked on a different topic each week, which helped to build my confidence and understanding massively. Thanks to his patience and support I went from struggling in maths to getting a grade 7 which is what I needed for A level. He was always prepared, answered all of my questions in a clear and concise manner and genuinely cared about my progress. I would recommend Mike to anyone looking for an excellent maths tutor who is knowledgeable, approachable and understanding.

My boy has been very pleased with the few months that he has been having lessons with Michael. He feels far more confident in school lessons now having worked on topics before and after they are covered in class. Thank You Michael!
