Advert description
As an assistant professor at Northumbria University with a PhD in physics and extensive teaching experience, I'm passionate about making maths and physics accessible and exciting for all students.
I like to break down complex concepts into understandable steps, use real-world examples, and adapt my methods to each student's learning style. Whether you're struggling with the basics or aiming for top grades, I will meet you where you are and build your confidence alongside your knowledge.
I have experience teaching at university level and supervising research students, and I'm also active in science communication and public outreach, which means I know how to explain difficult concepts clearly. I've also worked with students at all levels, from those who find maths and physics challenging to high achievers.
In our lessons, you can expect clear explanations, plenty of worked examples, and practice problems tailored to your exam board or curriculum. I'll help you develop problem-solving strategies, understand the "why" behind formulas, and build exam confidence.
Whether you need help with homework, exam preparation, or simply want to understand the subject better, I'm here to help.
