American English as a Second Language Teacher

HI! I'm Brian. I have a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. I have worked one-on-one with many college-level students from STEM programs with their essays and research papers and with K-12 public school students with basic English skills. I have also worked with the Americorps/Journey's End Refugee School Impact Program helping to bridge the cultural and linguistic gaps between refugee families and public schools.
With my English language lessons, I generally like to begin with an informal chat and then move on to the lesson, incorporating interactive games or exercises (to keep things interesting!) and then finish up with a review.
I understand how difficult and overwhelming learning a foreign language can be and I'm here to help!
