I like to start off sessions with an informal conversation just to get things rolling, and then switch to the lesson, incorporating creative, interactive exercises to keep us both engaged in the process. After that is through, we will review what we have gone over and decide on what the homework should be based on how the lesson went; what areas. you are having difficulties in as well as what parts of the lesson seem to be working best for you. This way we can both improve our approach, leading to a more positive and rewarding overall program.
I completely understand how difficult and overwhelming learning a language can be. I think it's important to keep lessons interesting by creating lessons tailored to the individual. Everyone learns in different ways and at different speeds. and I believe it is a teacher's job to discover what works best for their students and to plan their lessons accordingly.
