I have been a primary teacher for 18 years. I teach every subject in key stage one and key stage two. I specialise in English.

I have been tutoring privately for 14 years one to one outside of school hours and teaching for 18 in whole class whole school settings across two counties. Since September I have been tutoring in alternative provision during school hours and have been mainly working with young people to bridge the gaps between key stage two learning and key stage three. I plan and assess thoroughly depending on each activity and how the objectives are achieved. I focus on tailoring learning to each individual and adapt my input and lessons accordingly as I am teaching and dependent upon how the young person is learning and responding. At the end of each session I reflect on learning with the young person and feed back to the adults that care for the learners.
