English tutor workin mainly with adults from different nationalities

I have a degree in English and Communications from the American University of Armenia. It's been 5 years that I have been conducting private lessons for students working in different areas, from IT to medicine. My method is based on developing all four skills- reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I highly emphasize the role of different forms of listening- watching movies, TED talks, and audio materials with subtitles. Using such materials stimulates the brain the most, especially as the student listens to the audio and simultaneously has a chance to read the text. I usually ask them to also briefly write about the video so that the vocabulary becomes their own, This way, the learning cycle gets complete
