PhD Geographer, qualified teacher and experienced GCSE examiner offering expert Geography tuition

I am a qualified secondary Geography teacher with a PhD in Human Geography and extensive experience in both teaching and assessment. I have worked as an IGCSE Geography examiner for 15 years and have also marked specialist Geography examinations for Cambridge, including the Geography component of Pakistan Studies. This gives me a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for and, importantly, where students commonly lose marks.

My tutoring is tailored to the needs of each individual student, whether they need support understanding a particular topic, want to improve their exam technique or are aiming to achieve a higher GCSE grade. I focus on developing a genuine understanding of Geography before helping students apply that knowledge effectively to exam questions. I can also use previous assessments and exam answers to identify where marks are being lost and target these areas directly.

My aim is to help students become more confident in their own ability, develop stronger geographical knowledge and ultimately turn that understanding into better exam results.
