Advert description
I am a Computer Science student at Imperial College London with lots of experience in mathematics.
Having achieved a 9s and A*s in GCSE and A-Level Maths and Further Maths, I know how to structure lessons effectively to ensure you progress quickly and consistently. I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping you build confidence and achieve the best results you can.
I tailor my lessons specifically to each student's needs, whether that is learning content, strengthening understanding, working through exam questions or fine-tuning exam technique to sit GCSE and A-Level exams. I create structured lesson plans tailored specifically to each student so every lesson builds on the last and leads to real progress.
I like to use examples to explain different topics, making even the most complex problems straightforward and easy to understand. I especially make sure my students understand why and how thinks work rather than just focussing on memorising facts/methods, meaning when it comes to exams, they are able to very effectively apply their knowledge and unlock top-grades.
In my lessons, I usually begin by teaching/consolidating content through aforementioned examples followed by quick-fire active recall style questions to check understanding then some exam-style questions to practice applying knowledge. I believe guiding students through exam questions is the most effective way to build confidence and proficiency. Also, my focus on exam questions help you improve exam technique all throughout the year so when it comes to sitting your paper, you know exactly what is required to guarantee top-marks.
I also understand that every student works at their own pace, so I design my lessons to fit each students needs, ensuring they understand the key ideas before moving onto more complex topics.
