Advert description
I graduated with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and went on to complete a PGCE and gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Alongside this, I have over six years’ experience working as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in both mainstream and special education settings, supporting children with a wide range of needs.
I am currently a KS1 teacher, working with young children to build strong foundations in reading, writing and maths. I am phonics trained, particularly in the Ruth Miskin scheme, and I also lead Year 2 SATs booster sessions, where I break down key skills to help children feel more confident and secure in their learning.
I enjoy supporting early reading development, phonics and handwriting, helping children take pride in their work and build positive learning habits.
I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable, confident and able to try their best. I carefully break learning into small, clear steps so it feels achievable for every child. I am patient, caring and encouraging, and I understand the importance of children feeling supported and proud of their progress.
