Advert description
I bring over 25 years’ experience in coaching, mentoring and developing people, particularly young adults at the start of their careers. I have supported more than 100 early-career professionals through structured 1:1 conversations, goal-setting, confidence-building, performance development and practical planning. I have also worked closely with universities, delivered guest talks, supported undergraduate placement programmes, and previously held a full-time Student Union President role, helping students with academic, personal and welfare-related challenges.
My coaching style is calm, friendly and practical. I listen first, so I can understand each student’s situation, strengths and challenges. From there, I help them set clear goals, break work into manageable steps, improve organisation and time management, and build better study habits. I also focus on confidence, motivation and resilience, because students often perform better when they feel understood, supported and in control.
Each session would be tailored to the student. We might work on planning a revision timetable, improving focus, preparing for deadlines, managing academic stress, or building confidence around school, college or university work. My aim is to create a safe, encouraging space where students can talk openly, make progress at their own pace, and leave each session with clear, practical actions they can use straight away.
