Helping Maths seem a little less daunting to the kids that thrive in informal, relaxed environments

I’m a Law graduate who is starting a Master’s in Computer Science this September. Throughout school I achieved an A in A-Level Maths, and I enjoy helping people understand concepts rather than simply memorise them. I believe the best lessons are those where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as that’s how real progress is made. I've been tutoring informally in my community for years, and feedback is usually that kids don't feel like they're in school, in the best way possible. They relax, and when it's not seen as 'school', it seems to work.

My lessons are aimed at kids aged 10-15 looking to improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding of key topics, or prepare for exams. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs, whether that’s working through difficult concepts step by step, practising exam questions, or improving problem-solving techniques. My goal is to make maths feel logical and approachable while helping students achieve the best results they can.
