Hi guys, school sucks.
I hated school, and I hated maths, I could never concentrate in class, being forced into a stuffy rooms all day and listening to a 55 year old read directly from a textbook in monotone voice. I had no idea why I was learning Pythagoras, who cared about probability and what pi was ever going to do for me.
Then I had this tutor, called Abbey, and by the end of the first lesson I think we'd gone through maybe one question? We spent the rest of the time chatting about my crush, problems with her ex, the last movie we went and saw. I didn't feel like I was at 'school', it was relaxed, informal, I could make jokes, so I was actually interested to learn more.
I ended up getting a 9 in GCSE, an A in A-Levels, a Law Degree, and now at 24 I'm doing a Masters in Computer Science.
I don't think you hate maths, I just reckon you hate school, so if you fancy doing alright in your exams, I'll help you out.
I've been doing this tutoring thing informally around my community for a few years now. I don't have a curriculum, I don't have a stack of past exam papers for you to do (I can if that' the sort of thing you like), I help you with what you're struggling with. That's it.
School sucks, maths sucks, tutors suck. I disagree, and I'm not exactly the worlds biggest nerd, so if you're open to it, let me show you my perspective.
