I am a hard-working and diligent individual aiming to deliver lessons to any age group, from primary to GCSE level.

Advert description
If I were to teach chemistry I would allow them to share with me the topics that they find difficult and then slowly build on that with them. For example, the topic of diffusion where most students may find the term hard to understand, I would use simple examples like imagining a crowd of people in a corner. I would explain how some people may decide to move from the highly crowded spot to less crowded. This would hopefully help them understand the term better before I use scientific terms which will help consolidate the term better for exam questions. I would explain how the crowded place can be termed high concentration in chemistry and then when a few people move to the least crowded corner, its referred to as low concentration. I would then slowly introduce them to the term diffusion again and say, the movement of those few people from the highly crowded corner to the least crowded is termed diffusion. Then I would create a condensed version of the lecture to say movement = diffusion when there's movement of people (particles) from highly crowded corner (high concentration) to least crowded (low concentration). The use of simple examples or using examples that people have around them everyday on day to day basis, they would understand better than just exposing them to terms alone which they would not understand at first. I believe it is also important to have a conversation about a topic in a way that induces questions from students than just presenting them with questions which they may feel overwhelmed over at first. So, small 10-15 mins of explaining terms or concepts in a fun way I believe helps remember information better in places like examinations.
