English is my first language and I have experience teaching english, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar to all ages

Advert description
I have a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and a degree that involved teaching. I currently work in a secondary school, teaching teenagers English and Art to help them pass their exams, so I am up to date with the latest curriculums. I used to teach young children, as I am full of enthusiasm and positivity. There is no wrong way to learn in my class, my lessons are fun and engaging and I can make you forget that you’re even learning. I also run my own art company, so I am highly creative and can make my lessons stand out amongst your usual English class.

When it comes to speaking English… don’t worry! I GOT YOU!
I choose topics that you’re interested in and can relate to. When I do present a new language I will cover pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar and get you guys practising through fun activities and games. I will give you as much scaffolding as you need in order to help improve your accuracy and fluency.

Now I know that writing in English is a particularly difficult skill to master, this is true for me also - after all, English levels aren’t at 100% anywhere in the world. I can help you produce any documents or messages in English, or even complete some visa forms if you are travelling. More importantly, I’m fantastic if you’re wanting to help to pass your exams.

I can help you reduce the fear of listening and reading english by teaching you how to listen for gist and reading to skim, which is a general understanding of what you’re listening to or reading. We do this by listening / looking for clues to help us guess the meaning, as opposed to focusing on understanding every word. (we listen/look out for content words). I do this to help you focus on the context and certain words understand the meaning of the script rather than every word.
After we can do this. I can teach you how to listen and read for specific information. What's that? Once you understand the gist, I can then train you to listen/look for specific information. This means we have reasons for listening/reading and we know the type of information we need to listen/look out for. Without this we wouldn’t know key details in train stations/airports announcements, the weather forecast, or either films or TV Programmes. I can train you to know the type of information to listen/look out for so that you can understand the facts.
