Advert description
I’m Tess, a Zoology graduate from the University of Bristol (First Division 2:1) with strong experience in biology, marine science, academic writing, and science communication. I specialise in helping students understand complex scientific topics through clear, structured explanations and visual learning techniques.
I have published scientific work, produced graphical abstracts, and created presentations, podcasts, and teaching resources to simplify advanced concepts in zoology and marine biology. My background includes fieldwork, data analysis (R Studio, Excel, ImageJ), and extensive scientific writing — ideal for students needing support with coursework, revision, or improving their academic confidence.
As someone with ADHD and dyslexia, I teach in a way that is patient, organised, and tailored to different learning styles. I’m friendly, reliable, and great at breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps.
Subjects I can help with:
Biology (GCSE, A‑Level, undergraduate)
Zoology & Marine Biology
Ecology, conservation, animal behaviour
Scientific writing, essays, reports, referencing
Study skills, organisation, revision planning

I offer:

Send me a message if you’d like to book a session — I’d love to help students succeed.
