An academic mentor and student in biomedical sciences

Tell us a bit about yourself.
Recently, I was an academic mentor in a government funded secondary school, that has a conjoined sixth form. While working, I am also on my way to completing my integrated masters in Biomedical Sciences. I have a passion for teaching and also learning, taking regular HavardX courses ranging from preventing the next pandemic to cybersecurity. My goal in life is to push our future, whether that be motivating the youth or advancing medical discoveries.

How do your lessons usually plan out?
My lessons are always constructed to make sure I activate all types of learning styles, whether that be visual (e.g. with the aid of videos), auditory (e.g. creating discussions and read-alouds) to kinesthetic (e.g. incorporate body movements to learn specific topics). Every lesson will always begin with a quick memory recall activity and will end with exam style practise, as I believe that is the best way to both solidify your knowledge and improve the students confidence when it's time to smash their exams.

The best way to summarise my teaching style in three words is,
Structured, Passionate and Accommodating.
