Apart from being knowledgeable in Biology and subjects within biological sciences, I am an experienced university lecturer and tutor with over 10 years’ experience. I adopt a social constructivist pedagogic approach to my teaching practice which involves high student engagement (face-to-face or remotely), leading to over 90% student satisfaction in my module evaluation surveys. I use a wide of methods and resources for teaching with includes classroom settings using the white boards and projectors, practical laboratory classes. seminar style which the students work on topics and present individually or in groups, as well as online classes via teams and zoom. I am committed to equality and I am willing to learn and engage with people from different backgrounds irrespective of their age, gender, gender representation, religion and social standing. I ensuring inclusivity and ensuring that I put the individuality of the people interact with first by taking the time to learn about the different cultures, races, religions and backgrounds represented by my colleagues and students where the opportunity arises. Apart from biology, I also teach animal health, Infectious diseases of animals, biosecurity, tissue culture, animal production, parasitology, anatomy & physiology, physiological adaptation, animal health husbandry, reproductive physiology, and practical animal handling and other biomedical courses.
