Advert description
I have an TEFL Certification, a Masters of Science in Medicine, a Bachelors degree in humanities, a certificate in Project Management, and a Diploma in Design. This is just a brief acknowledgement to my education, and in turn a hint to what my teaching style is like!
Most recently while working with as an online tutor I have maintained a 5/5 student satisfaction grade. Young learners, adults and teens were part of the cohort I taught, and as such my teaching mechanisms were expanded and adapted to provide a well rounded base for teaching people of any age. I am familiar with teaching creatively while I was working freelance in Australia, from children to adults and students alike. I think the combination between both my creative teaching background, my academic education and my most recent language career has brought together the most valuable skills to be given and taught to those wanting an open and dynamic approach to learning English.
As I have had the pleasure of working with many different nationalities too, it has given me a sense of care while speaking to groups, and being mindful of others personal cultural and religious affiliations. Teaching in person will always be my preference in practice, however over the last few years I have taught one-on-one and group classes online and it was fantastic and easy for the student. I was allowed to offer the students free-time, which meant they have the autonomy to lead their lesson in areas they’d like to know more about. Here I have taught business language and even delved into some famous literature reading.
As you can see I love to use dynamic approaches to tutoring/teaching English. I find it creates a more relaxed environment for the student and gives them space to access their learning potential from different avenues. Each student is unique, and therefore the lessons must also be unique!
