Advert description
I am an English foreign language tutor. I provide 1-1 sessions as well as group sessions. I have over a years’
experience in tutoring. I discuss with my students their goals and we work together to meet them. I create a fun and interactive environment making my students feel comfortable to learn and excel. I am very patient. I encourage students to engage in a lot of conversation as
I feel you learn a lot more when speaking. My lessons are very conversational based to improve fluency and comprehension. A way I encourage conversation in my lessons is by bringing a new debate topic to each lesson. The student and I will then both present our
arguments for and against the debate topic and then come to a conclusion at the end. I teach all different levels of English, from beginner to advanced. If am to teach a beginner we will still be doing this approach as well as drilling and repeating a few of the basics. The basics
will consist of topics to do with themselves, family, home, food, weather, social interaction and more! The debate topics will be simpler at the beginning for beginners and then as they progress forward, we will start with the more complex topics. For Intermediate and advanced
I recommend starting the debate topics at a more complex level. They will learn a lot of new vocabulary every lesson as we will be touching on new subjects in each lesson. Encouraging debates will help students to form your own opinions and begin to get comfortable voicing them with confidence. I am a teacher who believes students also have a voice and I make it
my aim for my students to feel that they are in a safe environment to be able to share their voice and opinions with me. I enjoy hearing other people's opinions and ideas and I feel debates are a great interactive way to do so. I will always provide a debate topic every lesson, however if there is any topic my students would like to talk about in my lessons, I strongly recommend and encourage them to voice their opinion and tell me what topic they would like to discuss. This is their lesson and I want them to get the most out of it that they
possibly can.
