I am a university lecturer and Oxford English postgraduate with seven years' experience teaching English one-to-one. Whether you need support with homework, grammar, reading and comprehension, essay writing or exam preparation, my starting point is always the same: understanding where you are now and where you want to be, so that every lesson is shaped around you. In our sessions we work through the areas you find most difficult, step by step. I explain concepts in as many different ways as it takes, set clear and achievable goals, and teach practical techniques you can apply independently, because my aim is not simply to get you better marks, but to build confidence and autonomy in your academic skills. I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent learners and students whose first language is not English, and I teach patiently and without judgement. Lessons are online and flexible, and I am always happy to begin with whatever you are currently working on, whether that is a set text, an essay or a past paper.
