UAL MA graduate offering portfolio guidance & art photography mentoring (English & Chinese)

Hi! I’m Qingyang (QY), an artist-photographer based in London and a graduate of the MA Fine Art Photography programme at UAL (LCC). Over the past few years, I’ve supported a number of students who went on to study Photography at RCA and UAL, helping them strengthen their portfolios and creative confidence.

I offer one-to-one mentoring and portfolio guidance — from concept development to project editing — with sessions that are patient, reflective, and tailored to each student’s interests. My focus is on helping you discover your own artistic voice rather than following a fixed formula.

Alongside teaching, I collaborate with magazines and independent fashion and design brands, and I enjoy sharing this experience with students who want to bridge the gap between artistic and professional photography in their own way. Lessons can be held in English or Chinese, and I’m happy to work with students preparing for art school applications or developing independent projects.

More than a teacher, I hope to be a creative companion — someone to think and grow with. 🌿
