Senior Software Engineer with extensive industry experience and a real passion for making technology engaging through teaching!

Advert description
I teach both basic and complex concepts through practical analogies, visual tools, including live hand drawing even in remote lessons, and real world examples. My aim is to make Computer Science, Programming, Software Engineering, DevOps and Web Development more accessible and intuitive. My lessons are suitable for beginners, students and aspiring developers, junior developers, as well as anyone looking to strengthen their understanding of specific technical topics. I adapt each lesson to your level and interests, encouraging curiosity and making technology genuinely enjoyable to learn. I also bring extensive teaching experience, including working as a Senior Lecturer at Le Wagon coding bootcamp, teaching Computer Science on summer programmes at Cambridge University through Immerse Education, and currently teaching evening programming classes with Code First Girls (CFG). I teach a range of technologies at different levels, including JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Java, SQL, React, Node.js, Express, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, Git, testing and APIs. More importantly, my teaching goes beyond individual languages and frameworks. I focus on computational thinking, strong mental models, full stack web development concepts, software engineering principles and DevOps fundamentals, so that you understand not only how to use a technology, but why things work the way they do and how the different pieces fit together. If the technology or topic you are interested in is not listed here, please feel free to reach out and ask.
