Second-Year Durham University Politics and International Relations Student Teaching Online Edexcel A-Level Politics

I am a second-year Politics and International Relations student at Durham University offering online tuition for Edexcel A-Level Politics. Having achieved an A in A-Level Politics in 2025, I understand the skills and exam techniques needed to achieve high grades. My lessons focus particularly on essay writing, argument structure, evaluation, and applying political knowledge effectively to exam questions. I help students develop stronger answers through essay feedback, exam practice, past papers, mark scheme analysis, and understanding what examiners look for in high-scoring responses. Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, whether that involves improving specific topics, developing exam technique, building confidence, or working towards the highest grades. Alongside my A-levels, I competed as a Team GB athlete, giving me valuable experience in setting goals, managing competing commitments, and developing effective study habits. I use this experience to help students become more organised and confident in their approach to studying. I have also supported students in Maths and History and aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with longer sessions available when needed, particularly during exam periods. I welcome students of all abilities and aim to help each student make measurable progress towards their academic goals.
