Advert description
Experiencial teacher, often using constructivist practices and helping to contextualise science into everyday experiences. By posing a broad question and guiding pupils through with logic, I aim to build confidence and critical thinking skills that can be applied to any situation.
My favourite question is "Why do you think that?". As prospective scientists students should understand the importance of evidence and conjecture.
I've over 10 years experience working in informal education for the likes of Royal Hospital Chelsea, Natural History Museum and STEM Learning.
I've also a further 10 years of formal teaching experience and dual specialisms in Chemistry and Biology.
I've led teacher training, direct to student initiatives and large scale events in a £30million not-for-profit, reaching over 2 million students a year.
