I am a retired teacher- researcher with experience nationally and internationally for personal, business and academic purposes

I can support you in a range of English learning needs and I have the experience and knowledge to help individuals reach their learning goals with individually tailored programmes.
I have supported many people in developing spoken language skills so they feel confident in managing different situations using English. I support students in essay writing and in developing more academic writing skills and structuring texts. I have also worked collaboratively with research academics to edit and rephrase their work for academic publication. I have published several academic papers of my own research so I have good knowledge of the process and expectations.
My students are always at the forefront of any lesson, as learning can produce challenging areas that can be daunting, so I always aim to break these down into smaller steps.
