Qualified English Teacher with 4+ years experience

I'm a fully qualified English teacher with years of experience helping students of all abilities achieve success—whether they're aiming for top grades or working hard to secure a pass. I currently lead Key Stage 4 English at a Cambridge school, where I design and deliver the full IGCSE English Language and Literature curriculum. I’ve also taught A-Level and GCSE English extensively, and I’m an examiner for Edexcel, which gives me deep insight into how students are assessed and how to help them perform at their best.

My teaching background includes working in both mainstream schools and specialist settings that support students with complex needs, such as SEMH challenges or disrupted educational backgrounds. This means I’m experienced in tailoring lessons to suit every kind of learner—whether they need a boost in confidence, extra challenge, or a calm and supportive space to grow.

I focus not just on exam success, but on helping young people develop the critical thinking, writing, and communication skills that will serve them far beyond the classroom.
