Advert description
I am a Psychology graduate (2:1) with experience as a Mentor, Childline Counsellor, Learning Support Assistant, Research Assistant, and Bank Nursery Practitioner. These roles have enabled me to develop excellent communication, teaching, safeguarding, and mentoring skills while supporting learners of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive, and tailored to each learner's individual needs and learning style. I begin by identifying the student's current level of understanding, strengths, and areas for development. Lessons are structured, interactive, and focused on building both subject knowledge and confidence. I break down complex psychological concepts into simple, relatable examples, encourage discussion and critical thinking, and use exam-style questions to reinforce learning. For A-Level and undergraduate students, I also provide support with essay writing, research methods, statistics, critical evaluation, revision strategies, and dissertation guidance. I regularly monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lessons accordingly to ensure students achieve their academic goals while developing independent learning skills.
