I provide private lessons tailored to individual learning levels, interests and goals

I am an experienced Art & Design private tutor and university lecturer with over 25 years’ professional experience across art, design and creative health education. I have specific interests in colour and design, and healthcare.

My approach is highly individual. I aim to draw out each student’s creativity, helping them discover and develop their own ideas and style of working. I build confidence, curiosity and an individual visual language alongside practical skills, critical thinking and the ability to discuss and evaluate their work.

I support GCSE and A-Level Art & Design students with coursework, sketchbooks, portfolios and exam preparation, and am familiar with the requirements and assessment criteria of the major examination boards. I also support portfolio development and applications for art school, Foundation and University applications.

I offer dissertation writing support for art and design students, including developing a research question, structuring an argument, research and critical analysis, connecting written work to creative practice, reviewing drafts and helping students communicate their ideas clearly and confidently in their own voice.

My teaching experience spans community projects with young people through to undergraduate and postgraduate students, alongside my professional practice as an artist and designer. I am also a qualified Arts Award tutor and examiner and a nominated Judge for various design awards.
