I provide private History, ESOL, and English lessons for students from pre-GCSE to Undergraduates.

I teach in a straightforward, supportive way that adapts to each student rather than following a fixed script. I break down difficult ideas clearly, check understanding as we progress, and use examples that actually make sense to the learner. Because I work with students of all ages, from primary right up to university level, I know how to adjust the pace, the detail, and the explanation style so lessons never feel overwhelming. My approach is patient, personalised, and practical, with a focus on building confidence as well as knowledge. If a student is struggling, I’ll find another way to explain it until it clicks. I hold a BA Hons 1st in History, MA in History, and am now studying for a PhD from the University of Cardiff.
