Advert description
I have a strong academic background in both English and Law, with experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students across a wide range of texts and skills. In English Literature, I have studied works from Shakespeare (Richard III) and Chaucer (The Merchant’s Tale) to Goldsmith (She Stoops to Conquer), Stoker (Dracula), and Carter (The Bloody Chamber). This breadth allows me to support students with drama, poetry, and prose, as well as comparative essays and critical perspectives. I also offer guidance in English Language, focusing on close reading, analysis, creative writing, and exam technique.
Alongside my English studies, I completed an extended dissertation project (EPQ), which developed my independent research and academic writing. I am now preparing to begin Law at SOAS University of London, having already undertaken a mini-pupillage where I drafted case summaries, witness statements, and bail applications. This training sharpened my ability to explain complex material clearly and structure arguments effectively. I combine this academic rigour with a supportive, tailored approach to tutoring, helping students build confidence, refine their skills, and achieve exam success.
