Advert description
Hello! My name is Dylan. I am a cinematographer based in London working on music promos, narrative shorts and commercials.
I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography from the prestigious National Film and Television School, one of the leading film schools in Europe. Alongside cinematography, I have many years of experience working with both stills and motion picture cameras, ranging from Canon DSLRs to professional 35mm motion picture cameras.
Before focusing fully on cinematography, I spent several years working as a lighting electrician in the film industry on major productions such as The Crown and Bridgerton, as well as numerous commercials and music videos. This experience gave me a deep understanding of how lighting, exposure and camera systems work in professional environments.
My lessons are practical, relaxed, and tailored to each student’s level and interests. I focus on helping students understand not just how to operate a camera, but how to think visually and develop their own photographic style.
In our sessions we can cover core photographic principles such as exposure, shutter speed, dynamic range, composition, and the differences between digital and celluloid photography. Lessons can include practical shooting sessions, technical guidance on cameras and lenses, lighting techniques, and constructive feedback on your images.
Photography can seem technical at first, but it quickly becomes intuitive with a camera in hand. My goal is to make the learning process engaging, accessible, and creatively inspiring.
I look forward to working with you!
