My photography lessons are practical, collaborative, and tailored to each student’s interests and level. I’m a London-based Director of Photography working across music videos, short films, documentaries and commercial projects, and I bring that real-world experience directly into my teaching.
In our lessons, I focus on helping students understand not just how to use a camera, but how to see. We’ll work on the fundamentals of photography: composition, light, exposure, and colour, while also exploring how images can communicate emotion, story, and atmosphere. I often draw on techniques used in cinematography and visual storytelling, as this is central to my own practice.
Lessons can be structured around a few different formats depending on what suits you best:
- Practical shooting sessions (street photography, location shooting, or projects)
- Technical guidance on cameras, lenses, lighting and settings
- Image analysis and feedback on your work
- Creative development, helping you develop your own visual style
Because I work professionally in film and photography, I’m able to share insights into industry practices, visual references, and the creative process behind professional shoots. My approach is relaxed and supportive, with an emphasis on experimentation and developing confidence with the camera.
Whether you’re a complete beginner wanting to understand your camera, or a more experienced photographer looking to refine your visual style, I aim to make lessons engaging, practical and creatively inspiring.
