Philosophy graduate providing tutoring lessions at all levels

Hi there! My name is Caitlin, and I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First Class degree in Philosophy. I love my subject very much, and I hope that I can share this passion and curiosity for learning with you.

I believe that philosophy can teach us so many valuable skills that we can use in all areas of life, such as understanding, critical thinking, and being able to explain exactly what you think in your own words. I hope to make philosophy less daunting and more accessible to all my students, and help you to feel more confident in expressing your own ideas and interpretations on big ideas. I will aim to break down dense topics that may seem very complex at first to show that everyone is capable of finding their own understanding and interpretations, and that each person's responses are equally as valuable.

In our lessons, we will work through a variety of different topics and thought processes together, leaving space for you to contemplate your own ideas and ask any questions that you may have. If there is anything that you might find particularly challenging, I will try to explain in different ways that you can relate to until you feel assured. This is your space to explore, and there is no one correct answer; just be curious!
