PhD Student in Japanese Studies Available to Teach Beginners to the Language

I am currently studying for my PhD in Japanese Studies, with a particular focus on anime of the 1990s. Alongside an introduction to the language, I also bring a strong understanding of contemporary Japanese culture to the table, which will enable students to learn more about the society as they learn the language.

Beside my studies, I am also an experienced tutor, teaching students of all ages in a variety of subjects. As someone who speaks multiple languages, I understand how difficult it can be start the learning process, particularly of a language which does not share the same script as English. As such, patience and positive reinforcement are key to my teaching style.
