I am a patient and clear teacher with 3 years of experience teaching both inside the classroom and 1 on 1.

I take a student led approach to teaching, gauging the experience of the student and then tailoring my lesson to their needs. I have 3 years of experience teaching English literature and language, and I try my best to teach in an engaging and highly interactive manner, including dialogue, discussion and written exercises in my teaching. As a secondary school English teacher, I also have experience in planning curriculum, having planned 6 entire units from scratch, including a unit on Frankenstein, gothic creative writing and poetry. Additionally, I worked as the literacy lead, so championed many initiatives and programmes with which to improve both literacy rates and a culture of reading for pleasure across the school.
