My Teaching Approach and Methodology
My teaching approach is student-centred, communicative and dynamic. I believe that learning a language should be an engaging, meaningful and enjoyable experience. My main goal is to help students develop confidence and communicate effectively in English, both in academic settings and real-life situations.
I strongly believe that every learner is different and that effective teaching requires flexibility, creativity and an understanding of individual needs. Therefore, I adapt my lessons to students’ ages, English proficiency levels, interests and learning objectives. Whether I am teaching young learners, teenagers or adults, I aim to create a positive and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable participating, asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
My lessons focus on developing the four main language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. However, I particularly emphasise communication and speaking practice, as I believe students need opportunities to use English actively rather than simply memorising grammar rules and vocabulary. I incorporate conversations, role-plays, problem-solving activities, discussions and real-life scenarios to encourage meaningful interaction.
I also make use of a variety of digital tools and interactive resources to make online lessons engaging and effective. Videos, presentations, games, online exercises and authentic materials allow me to create diverse learning experiences and maintain students’ motivation. I believe technology should support learning and provide opportunities for students to become more independent and confident language users.
Grammar and vocabulary are also essential components of my teaching methodology. Rather than presenting them as isolated topics, I introduce and practise them in context, helping students understand how to use language naturally and accurately. I provide clear explanations, examples and personalised feedback to help learners identify their strengths and areas for improvement.
Another important aspect of my teaching is assessment and progress monitoring. I regularly observe students’ performance, provide constructive feedback and adapt activities according to their progress. I aim to establish realistic learning objectives and celebrate achievements, no matter how small, because motivation
