Advert description
I believe programming is best learned through practice, so I focus on creating exercises adapted to each student's level, experience, and learning goals. I start by identifying what the student already understands and where they encounter difficulties. I then break down complex programming concepts into simple explanations, demonstrate them through practical examples, and guide students through exercises of increasing difficulty. I encourage questions, experimentation, and learning from mistakes, helping students understand the underlying logic rather than simply memorise syntax or copy solutions. I also emphasise independent problem-solving and critical thinking, teaching students how to approach unfamiliar challenges without relying on AI to generate code for them. I would be happy to support students with their own coding projects and coursework, adapting my teaching methods to their individual needs and pace. My ultimate goal is to make programming accessible and enjoyable while helping students become confident, independent programmers.
