Advert description
I am currently a first year at the University of Warwick. I achieved an A* in A-level Mathematics and am offering private, online tuition which is catered to each students needs.
My lessons are aimed at helping you understand the content well and feel ready for exams. My lesson plan is as follows: I would first go over which topics the student struggles with versus their stronger topics. The starter to the lesson would be an exam question on one of their strong topics. Then I would go on to teach them any relevant content to that topic they are struggling on whilst following the specification of that exam board. I use example questions and walk through these with the student in order to help them gain an understanding of the methods needed to apply to that topic. I then give the student exam style questions to try themselves which increase in difficulty throughout the lesson as the student becomes more confident with questions. As they try these I would help them if they cannot solve a certain maths problem. Towards the end of the lesson I give them some challenging exam questions, that we can walk through together, so that they can grasp the exam application side of A-level maths, allowing them to be as exam-ready as possible. My lessons are very student focused and are based on what areas the student needs more help in. I aim to help the student understand the content not just know it. This would make it easier to apply to a variety of challenging maths problems and hence allows the A-level exam to feel more accessible to them.
In A-level maths I did the Edexcel board of which I know inside out now. This is beneficial as I will work closely in line with the specification, ensuring the student learns the relevant content needed for their examinations.
