Advert description
I teach English (EFL), French, Spanish, and German, and I specialise in helping learners build the confidence to use their target language not just in the classroom, but in real-life situations. My lessons are based on Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), a widely used and evidence-based approach that develops communication skills through meaningful, practical tasks. Whether a student is preparing for travel, study abroad, work opportunities, or everyday life in another language, I aim to create lessons that feel relevant, engaging, and useful.
At the same time, I believe that strong communication skills are built on a solid foundation of grammar and vocabulary. For this reason, I incorporate targeted grammar and vocabulary work alongside speaking practice, ensuring that students develop both confidence and accuracy as they progress.
Having studied linguistics and experienced language learning myself, I understand both the challenges and rewards that come with learning a new language. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills at their own pace.
I enjoy working with learners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students looking to improve their conversational fluency. My goal is to help each student make meaningful progress while developing the confidence to use their language skills in the real world.
