Advert description
Would you like to deepen your understanding of music and its structure? I'm Luigi, a guitarist with a degree from the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, and I offer private lessons in music theory, jazz harmony, and solfège, both online and in person.
With my experience, I'll guide you through a personalized learning path tailored to your level and goals. Whether you're a beginner wanting to understand the basics or an advanced musician looking to master jazz harmony, we'll work together to strengthen your knowledge. I've taught at numerous music schools in Italy and abroad.
My teaching method is based on a practical and engaging approach. Through analyzing pieces and transcription, I'll help you develop a critical ear and understand the logic behind the music. I consider myself an empathetic and patient person, capable of understanding your needs and inclinations, accompanying you on the beautiful journey of music.
In our lessons, we will cover:
Music Theory: Notation, intervals, scales, chords, and progressions.
Solfège: Rhythmic and melodic reading to improve your sight-reading and ear training.
Jazz Harmony: Form analysis, reharmonization, modes, chord substitutions, and improvisation.
I'll provide you with educational materials free of charge, and after each lesson, small video tutorials to help you with your home studies. I'll also be available between lessons, so you can contact me freely with any questions.
Since 2024, I have also been an authorized preparation teacher for the Trinity College London exams, one of the most prestigious certifying bodies in the world. Their certificates are recognized by the MIUR in Italy, OFqual, and are included in the British QCF, which corresponds to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). Obtaining a Trinity College London certification will give you a competitive advantage for access to conservatories, universities, competitions, and much more.
