Non-native speaker aiming to teach Japanese to beginners

Hello everyone! I recently graduated from the University of Manchester studying Japanese and Spanish. Since I am a native English speaker, I can offer my perspectives regarding learning methods that I found effective and give my own personal advice for people starting to study Japanese. I spent around 10 months living and studying in Japan, and in July this year, I sat the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at N1 level. I have been tutoring beginners in Japanese over video call for a few months now, which has given me experience regarding lesson planning and helping students individually with the specific goals they want to achieve.
