I am a native Japanese speaker who has lived most of my life in Japan and am fully fluent both linguistically and culturally. I have over two years of tutoring experience teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds and levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners looking to refine fluency.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that is learning Japanese for travel, improving conversational ability, studying grammar systematically, or building reading and writing skills including kanji. I adapt my teaching style depending on the learner, combining structure where needed with practical, real-world usage to ensure steady and meaningful progress.

I place a strong emphasis on speaking and comprehension, helping students develop confidence in real conversations rather than relying only on textbook knowledge. At the same time, I can provide clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary in a structured and easy-to-follow way for those who prefer a more academic approach.

Lessons are relaxed, supportive and fully personalised. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and actively using the language, as this is essential for becoming fluent.
