Advert description
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. After studying many modules such as 'Teaching English as an additional language', 'Global Education', and 'Language and Literacy', gaining experience in teaching refugee children English in Ireland (online and in-person), and gaining EAL teaching experience on professional placement and substitute teaching in various schools and on my ERASMUS+ programme, I am well versed in teaching English from all levels.
I am motivated to make my classes fun and energetic with the use of multifarious pedagogies including music, drama, videos, listening and speaking games, challenges and opportunities to work with other learners. I do not only foster English language competencies in my classes but I also encourage the development of teamwork, confidence, resilience and leadership qualities in my classroom.
I wish to welcome a wide range of diverse cultures, languages and ethnicities and incorporate them into our learning of English through opportunities to speak, listen, share and learn so that you always feel at home.
I am excited to help you improve your English language skills and I look forward to working with you.
Thanks!
Gemma
